Starting over is exciting, but I've found that making genuine friendships as an adult can be surprisingly difficult.

For those who have rebuilt their lives, what helped you connect with new people? Local events, hobby groups, volunteering, online communities, or something else?

Interestingly, I recently joined a small gaming community through Among Us Online, and it led to some surprisingly meaningful conversations with people from different backgrounds. It made me wonder whether online communities are becoming a real way to build friendships, not just pass the time.
