Little Hetty finally came into our lives yesterday!(she was posted out about ten days ago and one of our neighbours kindly took her in, when I was out at work but they went away on holiday, then so did I!). So, when Catherine my neighbour popped round with my parcel, the excitement mounted, as I unwrapped the precious cargo. Very soon Little Hetty was tentatively peeking out from her ‘travel bag’, nervously wondering what her new life would look like….. a few loving words of encouragement and she lifted her paw and gave a little wave and asked for me to lend a paw(hand) to help her out of her ‘box bed’.She’s a very Independant little girl and was eager to stand on her own back paws, when climbing out and was keen to help me demolish the last of my Easter chocolate on arrival. We enjoyed lots of snuggles, whilst I divulged details of all the exciting adventures we have in store, starting with a trip to The Lake District this weekend. We bonded over our love of snacks-in particular Jam n Cream biscuits! Once Hetty had settled in, a few hours later, I introduced her to her new beary loveable travel companions, Hector Van Volkswagen and Morris(The Traveller) who welcomed her with open paws. I left them in the bedroom, excitedly planning our next adventure! It’s obvious that Hetty has a wealth of experience in adventure planning and I think this will be a match made in heaven. I’m gonna give her a day or so,before I introduce her to her fur dog sisters Skadi & Willow, who will be accompanying us on all our campervan trips. Thank you to Loved Before, for letting me adopt Little Hetty, the self proclaimed ‘Hiking Bear’-apparently she’s an all weather bear that loves nothing better than a scramble up a mountain but is equally at home wandering through a woodland or taking a dip in a lake or river. She’s definitely my kind of bear! Looking forward to showing her round ‘Lil’(aka Lily The Pink),our little campervan, in time for this weekends adventure…..
