"Meet Mirabelle. I work in a community club on a busy high street and I always wait to take out the bins at night when I won’t bump into lots of people on my way round. This particular night, it was very cold and very dark! I emptied the black bags as I usually do of all the food and other bits from the day and as I was going to close the big bins, I happened to look down. There she was! Lying in her little dress and bow. I asked around everywhere I could at the centre, no one knew where she had come from. I can’t bear to think she was so nearly left cold, dirty and alone and destined for who knows where! I knew exactly where I should send her, and I hope with all my heart that she gets a home in time for Christmas this year. I was having a tough time and I think she saved me that night a little too."
