Unless stated otherwise, we run releases of new soft toys every Monday at 8pm. This means that new sustainable toys of all sorts of types, sizes, species and conditions will be up for adoption. Our eco-friendly soft toys often go quite fast, with many people choosing to adopt on release night, however you're sure to find the perfect soft toy friend if you keep an eye on the site. You can always also let the team know if you're looking for a specific preloved toy, so that they can give you a heads up should one be coming up for release.

Soft toys which have been manufactured to safety standards acceptable in the UK will have an attached CE label. UKCA labels have been introduced post-Brexit, but this is too new to affect most of the cuddly toys that come to Loved Before, and the CE label is still officially considered an acceptable safety mark. These labels also warn about any additional issues relating to that toy’s use. For instance, unsuitability for children under a particular age. Soft toys without a valid CE or UKCA label are not suitable for use by children under the age of 14. We strongly advise against buying them for a home where children younger than that may be able to get hold of them. Whilst the great majority of cuddly toys we offer do have CE labels, some were made before these labels were introduced. Please be aware that the billing address should be the address linked to the card used for purchase, and it is only the shipping address which should not be that of your own in the instance of a gift.

We are committed to ensuring our customers receive the best services possible. Unfortaunly however, once a package leaves us, we have no control over its arrival as we use 3rd party postal/delivery couriers and although it is extremely rare, it is possible that sometimes packages can go missing with no explanation. We do offer tracked shipping (for both international & domestic customers) and special delivery guaranteed (domestic customers only), these options are the most secure way to ship and guarantee you are able to track your friend every step of the journey. At Loved Before, we accept a range of pre loved soft toys. No matter what type it is, species, age, make or condition of your pre loved soft toys we try our best to accept all toy donations. However, there are a few types of toys we cannot accept and they are as follows: - Plastic toys. - Toys with internal electronics. - Any toy that would be considered "unsafe" due to its condition. Although our mission at large is to change perspectives through the medium of eco-friendly soft toys, our biggest commitment is to ensure all of our pre loved soft toys are safe and clean. As such toys that don't meet this criteria will not be accepted, this will be reviewed on a case by case basis by the team at Loved Before.

When your preloved soft toys arrive at HQ, we'll get to know them as they settle in, follow our Instgram to see the mischief all the teddies get up to at HQ. We document all our adventures and day to day chaos her at HQ caused by such a big group of preloved toys. They can really cause quite a lot of *drama*. Eventually, your friend will make their way through the spa and then have their own personal photoshoot before being added to the adoption centre and finding new adventure as one of our ever growing list of eco-friendly, second hand soft toys!

Normally, we won't let you know once your donation has been adopted however if this is something which matters to you, then drop us a message and we'll be sure to let you know!

We encourage everyone who wants to donate to write a story for their preloved toys. However, we know this can take a while (especially if you have a large collection of soft toys) so if you just want to donate without writing a story, that’s fine too! We work with schools and have other programmes in place to ensure any pre loved soft toys that turn up without a story will eventually have one when they finally go up for adoption. Once they’ve arrived at the Loved Before HQ, we’ll make sure they’ll have everything they need when they find their brand new home.

It would be great if the toys you are donating to Loved Before have been cleaned and washed. That being said, before a stuffed toy gets rehomed on our store, we make sure each and every toy goes through a full spa and hygiene process. This process varies on materials, age and condition of the pre loved soft toy in question. However, we ensure that all soft toys are thoroughly cleaned, repaired and disinfected to ensure cleanliness and safety of all of our products. As long as friends follow our guidelines of no plastic toys, mechanical or electronic components, there's no reason we'd have to find another home for your friends ourselves and they're sure to be having fun at HQ as soon as they arrive. In our experience, there really is a home for all of our Loved Befores, however sometimes it takes longer than others for them to find their new families. Until the point in which someone chooses to take your little one home, they will continue living a life of luxury at our HQ!

Unfortuately we do not exchange payment for donations, whatever the value of the donation. In extreme circumstances where the value of the donation exceeds our usual amount, we may be able to offer discounted use of our services. We receive a lot of new preloved soft toy donations, and unfortunately are unable to introduce every new arrival. Some friends go up for adoption almost instantly and others take a bit longer but they are all safe and being looked after and will get their second chance as soon as possible. We also now sell in store in Selfridges (Birmingham & Trafford stores), that means that the eco toy movement has now made its way to the high street! This will mean that some preloved toys don't get a chance to make it online as they are destined to end up finding their new homes from the high street.
